Allergens
Being an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialty, we test only for inhalant allergens such as Pollens, Molds, Dusts and Animal Dander.
We do not presently test for food or chemical allergens.

Build Up Phase
The length of time for your individual Build Up Phase will be determined upon your test results. This period can be anywhere from three months to ten months, depending on your sensitivites. Remember that your treatment mixture is prepared only for you, so no two patients are alike! You will be given the parameters of your build up at your initial injection appointment.

Should I Get My Injection?
If you suspect you are ill, it may not be recommended that you proceed with your allergy injection. Symptoms such as fever, pain, general malaise or if you are being treated for an infection should be reported to the Allergy Nurse before receiving your injection. If ever in doubt, or if you should have any questions, it is always best to call the office before coming in.

Maintenance Dose
We value your input regarding your symptom progress in determining your personal maintenance dose. Once your treatment mixture is prepared with all Allergen concentrates, your mantainence dose will then be determined. You should then remain on weekly injections after this point. Your progress will be monitored by your Physician annually and any further discussion on intervals between injections will be addressed as needed.
