- NO ASPIRIN, BC POWDER, IBUPROFEN, ADVIL, ALEVE, COUMADIN,MOTRIN, PLAVIX, VIAGRA, VITAMIN E, OR HERBAL SUPPLEMENTS FOR TWO WEEKS PRIOR AND ONE MONTH AFTER SURGERY AND ASK YOUR
PHYSICIAN FOR INSTRUCTION ON WHEN TO RESUME ASPIRIN OR OTHER MEDS THAT
EFFECT BLOOD CLOTTING AFTER SURGERY
(These may cause excessive bleeding).
- We have found it necessary to charge $50.00 for changing a surgery date.
- It is the patients' responsibility to see if their insurance company requires a second opinion prior to surgery.
- Check to be sure the surgery center is approved by your insurance company.
- If a child is the patient having surgery, please bring them with you for the pre-op appointment.
- If you take regular medications, please bring them with you at the pre-op appointment.
- We do not prescribe narcotics after office hours. Please contact the office before closing for any refills.
- You will incur fees from: (1) physician, (2) facility, (3) anesthesia department, (4) possibly pathology department.
- Please notify the nurse of problems as soon as they arise.
- Refer often to your operative instruction sheet.
- If you are an adult, please have the individual that will be taking care of you refer to the operative instruction sheet.
- Should your insurance company claim that a procedure is above their usual and customary charge, the patient is still responsible for the balance.
- We will ESTIMATE your out-of-pocket expense and require this to be paid before surgery.
- For some types of surgery, post-op care is not included in the surgical fee that is charged.
- If you are an adult please have someone with you at the surgery facility at all times until you are ready to leave.
- Please be prepared with a person to drive you home.
